Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons espresso powder
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup butter softened to room temperature
  • 0.5 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.33 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 whole egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract store-bought or homemade

Add-ins

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • flaky sea salt optional

Instructions
 

Baking Steps

  • Mix the dry ingredients in a medium bowl and set aside.
  • Cream together the softened butter and sugars until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  • Add egg and vanilla, beat until combined. Mix in the dry ingredients, then fold in chocolate chips.
  • Chill the dough in an airtight container for 2 hours.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Scoop and roll dough balls, place on the sheet, and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes, then sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!
