Cherry Earl Grey Milk Tea

Tea Base
- 1 bag Earl Grey tea or 1 teaspoon loose leaf
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup milk any type
Flavorings
- 4-5 fresh cherries pitted and halved
- 1-2 teaspoons vanilla syrup
- 1 cinnamon stick optional
- Ice optional for iced version
Preparation
Simmer cherries with 2 tablespoons water in small saucepan for 3-5 minutes until soft. Mash gently to release juices.
Bring 1 cup water to boil. Steep Earl Grey tea for 3-5 minutes, then remove tea bag or strain leaves.
Add milk to cherries in saucepan with optional cinnamon stick. Heat gently while stirring.
Add vanilla syrup to milk mixture. Pour brewed tea into mug, then strain in milk-cherry mixture, pressing cherries to extract juice. Stir well.
Serve hot immediately, or let cool and pour over ice for iced version. Optionally garnish with fresh cherry or cinnamon.
