Ingredients
  

  • 900 g chicken wings, split
  • 120 ml pineapple juice
  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • 55 g brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 60 ml pineapple chunks
  • 8 g cornstarch
  • 30 ml water
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 200°C and line a baking sheet.
  • Mix marinade: pineapple juice, soy sauce, sugar, garlic, ginger.
  • Toss wings in marinade and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Arrange wings on baking sheet and season with salt and pepper.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden.
  • Make slurry: mix cornstarch and water.
  • Simmer remaining marinade with pineapple chunks.
  • Add slurry to thicken sauce.
  • Toss baked wings in hot pineapple sauce and serve.
